A Mental Health Week workshop for Rangatahi — useful, uplifting, real-talk and can-do focused.
This workshop is Rangatahi-centred. Expect a practical and empowering, NLP-based and Te Ao Māori centric approach to learning/facilitation style.
Anxiety often begins with the story we unconsciously tell ourselves - and while that story is made up, the experience of anxiety is very, very real with symptoms that can include: Racing thoughts, tight chest, trouble breathing, shaking limbs, body and brain 'shutdown' and more. In this interactive session, you’ll learn to change the narrative and take back control with simple tools to break your anxiety pattern.
Across two hours, you will:
* Learn a little about the structure of anxiety.
* Explore quick, simple, effective techniques you can use to take back control. Small things can make a big difference.
* Practice grounding, breath, and anchoring for reliable calm.
* Explore stories (including pūrākau) and mindset & thought hacks to help you re-think and move from fear/stuck toward resourcefulness.
Real tools delivered with warmth and a chance to play and learn how to use them.
