SJ Café was established by Hato Hone St John to provide a welcoming space where people can connect, build friendships, and feel part of their community.

Created to help reduce social isolation and loneliness, the cafés in Geraldine, Temuka and Timaru bring people together in a friendly environment over a cup of tea or coffee.

Run by dedicated volunteers, SJ Café offers opportunities for conversation, companionship, guest speakers, and activities that promote wellbeing and community engagement.

The programme reflects Hato Hone St John's commitment to supporting people beyond ambulance services and helping communities stay connected, active, and supported.
