Recharge and come together for a free beginner's yoga class at Otago Museum. In support of Mental Health Awareness Week, come along and learn from Phoebe McMillan of Hot Yoga Dunedin.
Phoebe was first drawn to yoga to balance the stress of being a university student, and since then it has been a constant companion. Phoebe initially enjoyed the physical aspects of the practice, however, her passion for the more subtle, mental, and energetic parts of yoga emerged over time.
With a background in mental health and trauma-informed yoga, Phoebe teaches with an emphasis on yoga’s impact on our state of mind. Breath awareness, mindfulness, and the balance between internal and external awareness are common themes within her classes. She sees yoga as an ultimate tool for self-exploration, both on the inner planes and the outer, through physicality and fun!
Suitable for all ages and experience levels. Bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket and water.
This event will take place at Alert Level 2. Bookings are essential through rachel.macjeff@otagomuseum.nz, limited tickets are available to this event. Level 2 restrictions apply, all attendees are required to scan in, social distance and to wear a face covering at all times during this event.
