GoodYarn Mental Wellbeing Workshop for Expectant Parents
Date:9:30am to 12:30pm on 25 September 21
We invite you and your partner to a free GoodYarn community workshop to learn about mental wellbeing for expectant parents, what it is and how to look after it.
Becoming a parent can bring huge joy but also real challenges. Upskilling yourself before your baby comes means you’ll be better prepared, you can build connections with other parents-to-be and learn how to support yourselves and those around you to stay well on the road to parenthood. By preparing yourself mentally for the journey ahead you’ll be better equipped to ride out new challenges both as a parent and a couple.
Workshops are delivered by members of your community who are trained to talk about mental health, who understand the challenges of being pregnant and having a new baby and who know what life is like in the Whakatipu.

Our community workshops are designed to help us to better support our Queenstown family, especially their mental health and wellbeing. Learning how to talk with eachother and what support is available is the first step.
This award-winning GoodYarn workshop is part of a unique pilot project delivered in Queenstown by the Southern Wellbeing Trust in partnership with the Good Programmes Trust.
