Our Opening Speaker, Michael Hempseed, Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) is the author of the book BEING A TRUE HERO and a compelling presenter. His book has been used by the NZ Police, Fire and emergency services, GP's, counselors, business owners, parents, and teachers. It has become a valuable training resource to improve wellbeing and prevent suicide in the community.
Michael travels NZ extensively and has a reputation as one of the leading HR consultants for assisting organizations with unusual or difficult employment problem. He will talk about the cost of mental illness and what can be done about it, suicide prevention and what to be aware of when engaging with organizations that are offering help in this space
