Mental Health Awareness (MHAW) week is September 21-27.
Here in Nelson Tasman we usually have the Sunrise Walk for Wellbeing to celebrate MHAW, but because of Covid-19 alert level restrictions we are not proceeding with the event this year.
But we do have a plan b: #WINDOWS4WELLBEING (which can roll out at any alert level!).
The idea is people display what supports their wellbeing in their window(s).Quotes, photos, sports gear, art work, plants, etc! Much like the teddy bears in the windows in alert level four.
• Individuals, whānau, colleagues and friends think about and discuss what supports your/their wellbeing.
• Then create a window display representing what supports your/their wellbeing.
• Share a photo of your window #WINDOWS4WELLBEING and #MHAWNZ.
The mental health of each of us affects the mental health of all of us. We are all in this together.
