SUMMARY:Speed Freaks Run for a Reason - Hokitika
DESCRIPTION:The Speed Freaks Charitable Trust invites the community to Run for a Reason on Sunday 8 November.\n\nSpeed Freaks is helping challenge the stigma surrounding addiction while creating space for courageous conversations about mental health\, recovery\, and community wellbeing. Run for a Reason invites everyone to run\, jog\, or walk as we celebrate those who have made brave changes in their lives\, support those currently struggling\, and honour the memory of loved ones lost through addiction or suicide.\n\nTaking place in Ōtautahi\, Tāmaki Makaurau\, Hokitika and virtually\, participants can complete as many laps of the track as they wish within a 90-minute period. Participants will also be invited to write the name of a loved one on their bib instead of their own\, recognising their journey and carrying their memory with every lap.\n\nEvery dollar raised will support Speed Freaks' ongoing work\, including helping participants take part in local and national events.
