Tahuna Te Ahi – Ignite the Spark! Whakaoranga Hui Toiora

Nau mai, tāuti mai! Join us for an expo of local kaiwhakaora tōhunga (healers) and activity providers sharing their healing gifts and skills with whānau and the community.

Kaiwhakaora will share a range of traditional and non-traditional practices including rongōa, Māori herbal medicines, wairua, mirimiri, romiromi, massage and more. Bring cash to purchase rongōa or taonga. There will be free beginners classes in mau rakau (Māori form of martial art), kemu tawhito (traditional Māori games), ukulele, kōhatu art, Whakaoriori (Māori adaption of Tai Chi) and more!
